Office buildings run the risk of fire every day, whether it be faulty wiring, an overheating computer or burning paper. In order to assist in protecting staff and assets, it’s vital that buildings are equipped with a comprehensive fire management system enabling quick and efficient action in the event of a fire. Simplex’s fire control panels, detectors and software offer high end fire protection systems. Simplex Fire integrates emerging computer and communications technology into improved fire protection and evacuation management products. The Simplex® 4100U-S1 system offers a highly flexible analogue addressable fire alarm solution, which supports 2,000+ analogue addressable devices. Each addressable loop can utilise up to 250 devices. The system’s networking capabilities allow it to be distributed extensively throughout large sites using copper, fibre or modem interfacing. A network can contain up to 99 panels, each 4.5 kilometres apart, allowing a network loop distance of more than 445 kilometres for comprehensive fire detection. Design flexibility means that any existing Simplex® 4100 system can be converted to the 4100U-S1 platform. Furthermore, throughout the life of a building, changes resulting from structural alterations and Australian Standards updates mean building developers need to future-proof projects. Designed with longevity of the system as paramount, Simplex systems offer backward and forward compatibility, which can allow for the introduction of new technology and site expansion.
